This role is responsible for providing solutions to store owners using appropriate measurement and business tools in accordance with project setup agreements. This position has overall performance responsibility for sales, managed scope, cost, schedule and contract deliverables of the project. This includes applying consultative selling techniques, planning, tracking, change control and risk management.

  • Consult and close retail project sales using consultative selling techniques when meeting with potential retailers, switching retailers, branch candidates, and remodel projects for existing retailers.

  • Inspiring and motivating to action; Prospective Clients, Retailers and Ace Stakeholders to ensure maximum penetration in all areas of the Project Manager. Meet regularly with retailers to educate and spread the word about the benefits of store refurbishment. This can be an individual or a group.

  • Planning and developing a range of retail projects for extensions, relocations, refurbishments, conversions and new stores. Work with Ace Territory Managers. Gives DMs the tools to have meaningful discussions with your retailer about the benefits of a store makeover. Coordinate with DMs to develop a store renovation prospect list and develop a strategy for consulting with potential customers on the benefits of renovations.

  • Manages all internal and external resources to meet established timelines for all assigned projects.

  • Assess the retail potential of Ace's key existing markets for store 'right size - right location' opportunities to maximize Ace's market share, working closely with the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to provide support in the review of potential real estate sites to determine their viability from a design perspective. Review and ensure Landlord's Tenant Standards and the construction portion of the lease are carefully assessed and communicated to all internal partners.

  • Track and maintain project updates with today's enterprise project management tools. This will require a system update for several project tasks.

  • Regularly visits site for all assigned projects to ensure all work is properly installed, manages backlog review and rotates to retailers and area managers upon completion.

what do you need to apply

  • Capital project sales experience.

  • 2-3 years experience in retail project management.
